Hello Gospel Barn Friends and Fans!

We certainly hope this letter finds everything well for you.  Looking out the window at the Gospel Barn today is a cold and snowy reminder of why we don`t have concerts during the winter.  The parking lot, the barn and everywhere around is covered in 6-8 inches of snow.   Hopefully this will all change as we have only a month to go before the 2010 concert season begins.  The schedule is again filled with many of the finest gospel groups in America, and nothing could be more eagerly anticipated than our first concert on April 3rd with The Gospelmen Quartet.  The quartet harmony of these four gentlemen is always a favorite here at the Barn and they really do a great job of getting our season off to a strong start.  A fairly new quartet which made its first appearance here late last year is returning on April 10thReconciled Quartet was greatly enjoyed and many of you requested that they come back again.  Bluegrass gospel will be featured on April 17th with The Wasepi Bluegrass Gospel Singers; one of our longest running and favorite groups here at the Barn.  Three superb men`s quartets take us into May with The Calvarymen, The Woodsmen and Soul`d Out Quartet.  If a lively and exciting quartet concert is your favorite, than each of these groups will offer everything and more that you like.  From quartets and bluegrass to mom, dad, and EIGHT children with The Allens on May 15th.  This family was the talk of the Barn for weeks following their concert last year.  Don`t miss this great opportunity to experience a musical performance that can`t help but give you great hope for the future.

Our first double concert features the legendary Kingsmen Quartet.  A 2 PM matinee and 7 PM concert should each be fabulous as we welcome one of the most exciting gospel groups of all time.  These gentlemen have not rested on their history, as even today they are working towards a higher goal.  A quote from their website by bass singer Ray Reese says it all:  "The key is to never lose site of what we are working towards" says Ray Reese, Kingsmen manager and bass singer."We tour year in and year out to spread our music to people across the country. Our music has a message, the message of Christ. Every night we work to bring His message to our audience. Our goal is to see people saved through Jesus Christ whether it is indoors, outdoors, in an auditorium, church or recorded music".  This is a ticketed concert event with tickets priced at $8.00 each/general admission.  Tickets for this concert can be purchased online or at our ticket counter.  Tell all of your friends and bring them along for a great day in the Lord with The Kingsmen Quartet.  Please see the enclosed flyer to see how you can get your tickets for all our ticketed concerts early and save a few dollars as well.   A limited number of these special ticket packages will be available, and you can even purchase this ticket package from our website by credit card.

The Beene Family, which has become one of the favorite groups in the country, will finish out May in exciting style.  The month of June kicks off with more toe tappin’ bluegrass with Higher Vision and then, it`s strawberry time with the Ball BrothersThe Greenes and Three Bridges finish out June and summer should be well under way.  Be sure to watch our schedule throughout the months ahead.  Changes do occur at times, and we make every effort to keep information updated regularly.  Our website, www.gospelbarn.com is the quickest and easiest way to stay informed or you can call anytime.Text Box: ANNUAL STRAWBERRY JUBILEE

As for an update to our building expansion, we have been able to accomplish much over the winter in preparing to break ground this spring or early summer.  The plan is to add on to the east end of the current auditorium with an additional 150 seats.  A lobby expansion was also being considered as a first step, but the auditorium expansion is most needed at this time.  Please continue to pray that God`s guiding hand leads the way and as to how you might help with this expansion.  We continue to seek donations towards this goal and have been incredibly blessed and inspired by what has already been given.  Tax deductible donations can continue to be made through the Hillsdale County Community Foundation and donation cards are also available here at the barn.  The Gospel Barn website has a building fund page for information and donation purposes as well.  It is exciting to think about moving forward after much prayer and planning on the part of so many.  To begin to see actual progress in construction should be a very encouraging time, and to realize that even during this more difficult economic time God still has plans for this ministry to move forward.  To be in touch and in tune with His plan is always the desire.

Pray that lives will be lifted up and hearts touched in the weeks ahead.  That every singer, musician, staff person, volunteer, friend and family will know that they are part of something very important in the work of the Lord.  We sure hope He keeps you singing a good old gospel song, and as we enter the Easter season may we be reminded and encouraged by the fact that Jesus Lives.

God Bless and we`ll see you at the Barn real soon,

Your Gospel Barn family
